Pre-wedding photo shoot – Lydia & Neil

Spring is sprung (ie at the time of writing it’s not actually raining!) so it’s time to come out of hibernation and update the blog.

First up this year we have Lydia & Neil, who recently came into the studio to talk about the plans for their forthcoming wedding at the fabulous Dundas Castle which we will be both photographing & filming. As it was such a nice day we went to a top secret location (just off the B911) for some engagement shots – which worked out rather well. Lydia is a beautiful girl anyway, but she’s also extremely photogenic and looks amazing in photos. Not surprisingly she does have some modelling experience, and both she and Neil were very easy to work with.

Neil & Lydia are a lovely couple, and I’m really looking forward to their wedding in June.

Wedding Photography at Dundas Castle – Pam & Martin

Two trips to magnificent Dundas Castle in two weeks, and on the two sunniest days of the entire year – I must have done something good in a previous life to deserve this! This time it was for the wedding of Pam & Martin, two of the nicest, happiest people you could ever hope to meet, along with a huge party of family and friends who travelled from far and wide to be part of the celebrations. Here are a few of the pictures from the day.

Wedding Photography at Dundas Castle – Rosalyn & John

What can I say about Dundas Castle … it’s undoubtedly one of the most impressive wedding venues in Scotland, and it’s always a pleasure to be part of a wedding there. My first visit to Dundas Castle was to photograph Rosalyn & John’s Humanist wedding ceremony. Difficulties with traffic from Glasgow made the morning a bit stressful, but everyone (including me) had allowed plenty of extra time anyway so the wedding was able to go ahead as planned, under the watchful eye of Riccarda and her able team at Dundas. As it turned out I was at school with John’s cousin, and I remember meeting him as a toddler many years ago, so it added a personal dimension for me to see him all grown up (and a Doctor now too!). Star of the show (apart from Rosalyn of course) was the gorgeous flower girl, who loved posing for the camera and clearly has a great modelling career ahead of her!
