Recently I was the wedding photographer for Lorna & Steve’s wedding at Balbirnie House Hotel in Fife, Scotland (see earlier post). The full gallery is now available online to view and order any prints online. Click on Online Gallery above and then on the picture of Lorna & Steve. You’ll need the password though, which is available from Lorna & Steve.

And this seems like a good excuse to include one of my favourite images from the day, a lovely black & white wedding portrait of the happy couple on the staits at Balbirnie.

Wedding Photography at Guthrie Castle – Rosie & David

I’m dying to blog some photographs from Rosie and David’s recent wedding at Guthrie Castle, there was so much happening with even a visit from a vintage ice-cream seller courtesy of Le Tricycle. However it’s a house rule here that the bride & groom are always first to see their images so until they have viewed the (rather large) collection of official wedding photos you’ll have to be satisfied with this sneak peak ….

Pre-wedding photo shoot – Lydia & Neil

Spring is sprung (ie at the time of writing it’s not actually raining!) so it’s time to come out of hibernation and update the blog.

First up this year we have Lydia & Neil, who recently came into the studio to talk about the plans for their forthcoming wedding at the fabulous Dundas Castle which we will be both photographing & filming. As it was such a nice day we went to a top secret location (just off the B911) for some engagement shots – which worked out rather well. Lydia is a beautiful girl anyway, but she’s also extremely photogenic and looks amazing in photos. Not surprisingly she does have some modelling experience, and both she and Neil were very easy to work with.

Neil & Lydia are a lovely couple, and I’m really looking forward to their wedding in June.

Wedding Photography at Dalhousie Castle – Jane & Dan

Jane & Dan, accompanied by a large posse of friends and family, travelled from the south of England to Dalhousie Castle near Edinburgh for a traditional Scottish wedding – kilts, bagpipes, haggis and ceilidh dancing. After the ceremony the Dalhousie Falconry Centre put on a magnificent owl flying display which was great entertainment for everyone. Unfortunately the weather was traditionally Scottish as well, ranging from blazing sunshine to rain and wind, with everything in between, but it didn’t dampen the spirits of the sixty or so guests who danced the night away to the Bon Accord Ceilidh Band.

The weather didn’t stop us getting some great pictures, here is a slideshow of some of my favourites. The rest will be online soon once Jane & Dan get back from honeymoon. Wedding Photography at Balbirnie House – Sarah & Moray

The first of two weddings this weekend, Sarah & Moray’s wedding at Balbirnie House Hotel. It’s always a pleasure to visit Balbirnie, which is probably Fife’s best wedding venue and has the added advantage of being just along the road from the studio. Sarah & Moray had planned a large but very personal wedding, and it was a lovely relaxed day finishing up in the evening with entertainment from the excellent Blaze In The Bothy (odd name, but a great band).
