I wasn’t quite sure what to expect for Jane & Sam’s wedding, but with Jane’s theatrical background I knew it would be different – and it was! The bride wore boots, the groom carried a sonic screwdriver, and Jane and her team of volunteers had decked out the pavilion at Guthrie Castle beautifully. The 70 guests had a great time and as usual Paul, Pamela & the Guthrie Castle team did a fantastic job of running the wedding – nothing is too much trouble for the Guthrie team, one reason why it is one of the best venues for a wedding in Scotland.

Nicola & Ben chose the wonderful Guthrie Castle for their wedding, managing to dodge the occasional shower to get married in the gardens. Paul & Pamela along with the rest of the Guthrie Castle team made sure everything ran perfectly. Here are a few pictures from the day:

Guthrie Castle is one of my favourite wedding venues – it’s a stunning castle, the grounds are fabulous (and heaven for a photographer – great views everywhere) and the team, led by Pamela, always make sure that your wedding runs perfectly. It was therefore a huge pleasure to return for Ginny & Scott’s wedding, accompanied by Tracy & Callum who were shooting the wedding video for us. The weather played along perfectly and everyone had a fantastic time.

After dinner we were asked to shoot studio portraits of all the guests, with a bit of organising we shot 58 portraits of 163 people in just 44 minutes – wonder if this is a world record? The pictures are now online in the gallery to view & order – click on the link ‘Recent Weddings’ above.

The first of many visits to Guthrie Castle today, for the unusual Medieval-themed wedding of Sara & John, which took place four years to the day since their first date. A small group of family and friends made the trip from the south-east of England to Guthrie Castle for a truly unique wedding. Although cold & windy the weather held off to allow Sara & John to marry outside, with Sara being piped tot he ceremony by Steven of Scotia Pipers, who also provided a lesson in bagpipe playing to ‘King’ John – it’s harder than it looks!

Pamela and the team did their usual excellent job of keeping everything running smoothly and it was wonderful to be part of such a memorable wedding, here are a few pictures from the day:
