How can I describe Kirsty & Charlie’s wedding? Simply this – one of the most enjoyable weddings I have ever had the privilege of being part of. Having attended and photographed hundreds of weddings in the last ten or so years there are a few which stand out as being memorable, and Saturday’s wedding at St Ninian’s and Norton House Hotel will definitely be one of them. All the ingredients were there: a beautiful, relaxed, naturally happy bride (I teased her about being Bridezilla but actually she was anything but) and a great groom, accompanied by family and friends who could not have been more welcoming; great venues where both the minister and the hotel staff were friendly & helpful; stunning classic cars from Ecosse Classic Wedding Cars; great speeches (where Charlie didn’t get too much of a hard time!); and rounded off with entertainment from the Scott Leslie band who always lead a great party. And the weather of course. Special mention to young Duncan who was my willing assistant for most of the afternoon. Despite his young age he’s got all the signs of being a talented photographer in his own right in a few years, with plenty of encouragement from Mum & Dad.
All in all it was the perfect wedding, which is probably why there are so many photos – and these are just my favourites! I couldn’t fit them all in here so I’ve picked 20 for the blog and there are loads more here on Facebook, where you are welcome to view & tag as many as you like.
The full collection will be online soon, once Kirsty & Charlie are back from honeymoon and have been up for their viewing, in the meantime please feel free to leave them a message here using the comment function.
