For my first wedding of the summer (it certainly felt pretty summer-ish on Saturday) I was in Edinburgh to photograph Libby & Richard’s wedding. The ceremony was held at the unique St Andrews RC Church in Ravelston, with the reception at the ever-magnificent Royal College of Physicians in Queen St. With the weather on our side we even managed a trip up Calton Hill for some photos in between. The evening’s entertainment was provided by Callanish, definitely one of Scotland’s top wedding bands.

Here are some of my favourite images, the rest will be inline once Richard & Libby return from honeymoon and have had a chance to view them first.

Elegance. Whether you’re describing the venue (Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh), the car, the wedding, the dress, or the bride – elegance is the word that springs to mind. I had been looking forward to this wedding for ages, Libby and Simon placed a lot of importance on their wedding photography, and between us we had come up with some great ideas for shots – providing the weather co-operated of course! In fact the weather was perfect – bright but not too bright with no wind. The combination of Libby’s stunning dress, a beautiful 1950′s Citroen driven by her cousin, and Edinburgh’s stylish architecture made for a fabulous combination.

In total there are 327 images – they worked me hard all day! I’m very pleased with the results, although to be fair Ali is an absolutely stunning girl anyway so it wasn’t much of a challenge!
