A rare trip to the north of Scotland for me this week, to photograph the wedding of Helen & Alex who had travelled all the way from Australia to get married in Scotland where Helen grew up. As a Scottish Wedding Photographer I am lucky enough to travel to some amazing places, and the Deeside scenery was absolutely stunning. This was my first visit to Glen Tanar, an absolutely unique Scottish wedding venue full of character, and I hope to return again soon.

Now that Lynsey & Chris have seen their wedding photos I can put some more up online from Lynsey & Chris’s wedding at the Dunkeld Hilton. Narrowing it down from the 400+ images to the selection here was a challenge, and I ended up leaving out loads of my favourite pictures from what was one of my favourite weddings of the year.

Some days everything comes together – great venue, fantastic people, and fabulous weather. As a Scottish Wedding Photographer I get plenty of the first two but, this year at least, has seen precious little weather that counts as fabulous (even ‘dry’ is a bit of a novelty this year!).
It wasn’t a problem which Lynsey & Chris had to deal with, the weather for their wedding at the Dunkeld Hilton was fantastic! Here’s one of my favourite images from the day, shot on the banks of the river. More on the blog soon
