Just one – Wedding Photography in Fife at Forrester Park – Stefanie & Craig

A nice local job in Fife yesterday, to the fabulous Forrester Park Golf Club near Dunfermline to photograph the wedding of Stefanie & Craig (AKA Robi). The weather was horrible but the golf club is a great venue for a wedding and it didn’t dampen the spirits of everyone who was there.

One of the reasons many people choose me to photograph their wedding is for natural, unposed “reportage” photos – hence my choice of image for this “Just One”. Weddings are pretty full-on so it’s often difficult for couples to grab any time together. This was one such moment, just before the speeches. I’ve no idea what Craig had said, but from the look on Stef’s face it was probably something mushy & romantic. People often ask what makes each wedding unique – for me it’s shots like this – a genuine ‘moment’ rather than something posed or contrived.

A lovely laid-back wedding this week, in the heart of Edinburgh at the City Chambers. Kathy & Carl had chosen me for my natural ‘reportage’ style of photography which suited their wedding perfectly – no great fuss or show, just simple elegance and a relaxed atmosphere for their family and friends. I’ve chosen one picture which sums up the day perfectly for me, more on the blog later this week.

Just One – Jodie & Jason’s wedding at Dalhousie Castle

Will it snow? That was the thought on most people’s minds as they made their way north to Dalhousie Castle for Jodie & Jason’s wedding. In the end the weather was perfect, two days previously I had four inches of snow on my car and I was glad to have a 4×4 – that’s Scotland for you!

Balgonie Castle near Gelnrothes in Fife is absolutely unique – lovingly restored by the owners it retains all of its character. Humanist weddings are particularly popular at Balgonie, and so it was when I was there recently for Jon & Cheryl’s wedding

One of the interesting things about being a Scottish Wedding Photographer is getting to places you’ve never been before, recently I did exactly that for Carol & Barry’s wedding at the beautiful Dalmunzie estate. The weather was (mostly) kind to us and the intimate country house setting of Dalmunzie was perfect for the party of family and friends who were guests at the wedding.

A Brazilian girl marrying a Canadian man, in Scotland. Why? Partly because Scottish Castle Weddings are always fabulous of course, but mostly because this international couple actually live in Edinburgh. Most of the guests, however, don’t and so people had come from all corners of the globe to see Daniela & Jared get married at Dalhousie Castle. One of the added attractions at Dalhousie is the Falconry Centre, who are always happy to put on a display to entertain your guests.

I know it’s supposed to be ‘Just One’, but it wouldn’t be right not to feature the bride as well ….
