Silja & Kristoffer, along with about 60 family and friends, travelled from their homes in Norway this week for their wedding at the magnificent Wedderburn Castle in the borders. Despite looming balck clouds the weather didn’t manage to spoil the day. With the marriage being entirely in Norwegian it was an unusual experience for me, but hugely enjoyable as the entire party were so friendly (and all spoke fantastic English too!)

I spent the day in a parallel universe ….. at least that’s how it seemed at times! In January 2008 I shot the wedding of Christine McCole to Ross Lister, and if you’ve met us at a wedding fair or visited the studio you will have seen our sample album in which they feature. Today I returned to St Andrew’s church in Ravelston to shoot the wedding of Christine’s sister Clare to Ross’s brother Stuart. The weather was absolutely perfect and the large group of family and friends were able to enjoy the magnificent grounds at Prestonfield House, venue for the reception. Clare looked absolutely stunning, and the couple were able to relax and enjoy their great day.

The following day the weather held (just) for Jenny & Andrew to get married in the grounds of wonderful Prestonfield House. With a friendly and informal Humanist ceremony it was a very laid-back wedding and realxed wedding with everyone enjoying the superb setting.

Cassie and John booked with us nearly two years ago, giving them plenty of time to plan their perfect wedding – even the weather was organised! The wedding took place in the beautiful 600+ year old Bothwell Parish Church, then a short trip to Viewfield Gardens before the reception at the Strathclyde Hilton where Martin and his team did a fantastic job of looking after everyone (including me).
