Walter Paul Productions – Follies, G12, Glasgow

I had the pleasure recently of photographing a performance of the Stephen Sondheim musical ‘Follies‘ at the G12 Theatre in Glasgow. With a fabulous cast directed by Walter Paul the show runs until Saturday. Get your tickets here, and meanwhile here are some of the pictures from the show:

Gillian & Jason

For my last wedding of the summer season (Summer? What summer?) I was right back where I started the year on 3rd January at one of my favourite venues – the beautiful Dalhousie Castle for Gillian and Jason’s wedding. The ‘traditional Scottish summer weather” didn’t dampen the spirits of the wedding party & guests, and the wedding went in typical Irish fashion – plenty of noise, plenty of laughs!

Gillian looked absolutely stunning in a very elegant and unusual dress, as you can see from the pictures. Here a few of my favourites from the day. If you would like to be notified when the full collection is available to view, or just want to leave us a message to say hello, please feel free to use the comments function.

Kirsty & Rick

Kirsty & Rick’s wedding at Dalhousie Castle saw unusually good weather (it’s been a terrible year weather-wise), not to mention three priests, two owls and a step-eagle! Kirsty and her bridesmaids got ready in the magnificent Mary Queen of Scots suite at Dalhousie before going on to St David’s church in nearby Dalkeith, then back to Dalhousie for the reception. The weather was good enough to have drinks on the terrace while we did some fabulous pictures and then upstairs for speeches, dinner & dancing.

Here are some of my favourites from the day …..

Rebecca’s Birthday Party

A very different event for me this week – a 40th birthday party! Rebecca wanted to celebrate in style so she and partner Peter along with a dozen or so of their closest friends journeyed up from England for a weekend at the wonderfully restored Plane Castle in Stirlingshire. There was whisky tasting, fishing, haggis, food galore, and everyone looked to be having a great time. Rebecca knows how to throw a party, but she should do – conference and event management is Rebecca & Peter’s business

Star of the show was the irrepressible Roddy Deans (aka Roddy The Piper) who played traditional bagpipes and the small pipes during the meal, as well as performing the most dramatic Haggis Address I have ever seen, and even gave bagpipe lessons to the guests after the meal!

Wendy & Gordon’s wedding

Next day was a trip up to Carnoustie Golf Hotel for Wendy & Gordon’s wedding. Unfortunately the high winds & rain put paid to our plans to shoot some photos on the beach but we still got some great shots during the afternoon. I’m told the party on Saturday night was pretty wild, and I’m sure everyone had a great time!

Thanks as usual to all the staff at the hotel, particularly Morag who seems to manage to be everywhere at once – we had a very tight schedule during the afternoon and with her help we managed to get through all the photos and still be on time.

Here are a few pictures from the day. If you would like to be notified when the full collection is available, or you just want to leave a comment, please feel free to send us a message.
