Nearly the end of the wedding season, but I’m going to finish the year in style! Saturday’s wedding was a return to the fabulous Balmoral Hotel for Yvonne & Ben’s wedding. The weather was a bit iffy, but one of the great things about the Balmoral (from a photographer’s perspective) is that there are so many great places within the building to take photos that the weather doesn’t matter. Jennifer and the in-house team at the Balmoral are among the best in the business, friendly & efficient, and nothing is too much trouble. With music by Roddy Deans (aka Roddy The Piper), Cairn String Quartet and Pulse there was a fantastic atmosphere throughout the afternoon, all kept organised by Jennifer and the toastmaster Maurice.

Being used to grooms in kilts it was a treat for me to have the chaps dressed in suits, with Hugh Grant lookalike Ben (steady girls, he’s married now) scrubbing up particularly well. Yvonne wore the most amazingly delicate silk dress I think I have ever seen, and she looked absolutely stunning.

The whole day seemed to go well, with some great speeches before the meal. Here are a few of my favourite pictures from the day, more soon.
